Intro to American History (ages 9-13)
From 9:30 am to 11:00 am |
On July 4th, 1776, a momentous event would occur that changed the face and fate of the Americas, England, and eventually the entire world. But before the eve of revolution came the first European contacts with indigenous people, conflict, competition, and colonization.
In the class, we will cover United States history from European exploration to the Louisiana Purchase (1492-1805). We will utilize literature, discussion, and journals to further our studies. Students must bring “Pedros Journal” (available on Amazon) to the first day of class as it will be our first required reading for group discussion.
This class only meets 7 times during Express Session and the price has been adjusted accordingly.
