How Does My Garden Grow? (Ages 5-8) Connect 2018
From 2:00 pm to 3:50 pm |
This hands-on class for ages 5-8 will look at the science behind gardening. Students will study plants, seasons and the process of photosynthesis. Each day, we will spend some time in eNDVR’s garden, planting and observing. We will spend some time learning new concepts or learning more about familiar concepts through videos and activities. We will also spend some time on art projects and games related to nature and gardening. This class is designed to promote a love of science in young students and does not require any reading or writing skills. Students will be met at their own level and asked to perform tasks that are appropriate to their own age and abilities (eg. some students may write a paragraph while others may draw a picture as part of an activity).
The independent study ticket is for independent work or Makerspace time.
