Minecraft & Makerspace Drop-in (ages 11+)
From 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Join us every Monday and Thursday to play Minecraft or work in the Makerspace! This is a drop-in class. It is $10 for the block. You may pay here on the website every time you wish to drop your child off, or bring money. You must pay individually each time you intend on dropping your child off. This drop-in class is only offered for ages 11+ and is located at the Aspire High School.
For Minecraft we will play on the eNDVR Homeschool server: endvr.myserver.gs. This server is run by a group of our teenage students as a technology fundraiser for our learning space. It is monitored for griefing, bad language and bullying. Students can stake their claim and build a house on our creative server, play a game of sky wars or explore in our survival world. Our teen administrators are continually adding lots of mini games and projects (like 3d printing from minecraft). Older students have the opportunity to become administrators, and learn how to program, create, edit, and maintain servers. We will NOT be playing on any other external servers (mineplex, the hive, etc) so please inform your student of this in advance!
We have some computers to lend out, but please also bring your own technology if you can.

The Makerspace is an ever-evolving and growing space where students can come and use our supplies to create! We have recently added a 3D printer. There are craft supplies, robotics, computers, legos, paper and art supplies. Students can also request supplies for projects that they want to work on and we will do our best to incorporate this into the space. In the past our students have had competitions for creating the longest bridge and tallest tower with legos. Students have built bows out of various materials, concocted slime, made art out of recycled goods, and more. It really is up to their imagination. Computers are also available for video game development, 3D printing, arduino, or anything else they are interested in creating.
