Robotics and Engineering- Innovate 2018
From 12:00 pm to 1:50 pm |
Join us this semester as we explore Robotics and Engineering in 3 different age groups. Last year, we did math lab, little physicists, paper airplanes, junior and extreme mad scientists, robotics and engineering, pre-algebra, java programming, movie marketing and fundraising, and more. This class is based on student interest surrounding Robotics and Engineering. This time will also be used for our First Lego League Robotics Team to work on their group projects. Families who sign up early will be directly involved in planning and organizing our semester. Even if your student signs up on the last day, he or she will have choice in classes, as our age groups are flexible and overlap.
Robotics Ages 8-13: Taught by Annie Graham
Beginning Programming Ages 9-18: Taught by Matt Detrick
In this class we explore the basic building blocks of computer programming, such as If, Else statements, Loops, Variables and Structure, using a few different programs, including scratch and logisim. Towards the end of the class we move into writing code using a specific language called Java. The student is not required to bring a computer as we have computers to use here. No knowledge of programming is required.
