Robotics & Engineering- Innovate 2018

Thursday, February 15, 2018 to Thursday, April 12, 2018
From 2:00 pm to 3:50 pm

Join us this semester as we explore Robotics and Engineering in 3 different age groups. Last year, we did math lab, little physicists, paper airplanes, junior and extreme mad scientists, robotics and engineering, pre-algebra, java programming, movie marketing and fundraising, and more. This class is based on student interest surrounding Robotics and Engineering.  This time will also be used for our First Lego League Robotics Team to work on their group projects.  Families who sign up early will be directly involved in planning and organizing our semester. Even if your student signs up on the last day, he or she will have choice in classes, as our age groups are flexible and overlap.

The Independent Study ticket is for independent work or Makerspace time during this block.

Robotics & Engineering Age 5-8: Anne Graham

Advanced Programming Age 13-18: Matt Detrick

To be enrolled in this class, the student needs to be approved by Matt. This class builds on the basics learned in Beginning Programming and includes: integrating multiple sources of code, flow of control, receiving and handling user input, and storing information. It is a project based class with the end result being a stand alone piece of software. This class uses Java as its programming language. The student is not required to bring a computer as we have computers to use.
