“Experience is knowledge, everything else is just information.”

Popular shows like Dual Survival and Man Vs. Wild are captivating audiences nationwide, but do you have what it takes to survive? Survival stories of missing people make headlines on a weekly basis and we are faced with the sobering reality that anyone can be caught in these circumstances. Essential Survival Skills is an action-packed course designed to teach participants how to stay alive during a real survival situation.

During this one day course, we will hike to a base camp and spend the day practicing nature awareness skills, minimum impact camping techniques, learning survival priorities, building natural shelters, and starting environmentally responsible fires using primitive and modern methods. Participants will also practice responding to survival scenarios.

Through the development of essential camping and wilderness survival, this one day intensive experience targets building teamwork and leadership skills including communication, critical thinking and problem solving. This course also focuses on creating a positive experience in relationship to the understanding of our role in our environment, highlighting an awareness of environmental issues involving water, energy, waste, food and transportation.

Expand your skills as an individual, and learn the principles to thrive in wilderness!

Hosted by eNDVR Experiential Learning Space, proceeds from this camp help our senior Survive students attend their annual trip to Rabbitstick Primitive Skills Gathering.

The cost of this camp is $80.00 per participant. For more information, contact Clark Patton at 406- 544-2486 or [email protected]Please contact Clark after you have registered for a supply list and directions.
