This camp runs from Saturday, June 17th at 8:00 am to Sunday, June 18th until 1:00 pm.

“Experience is knowledge, everything else is just information.”

The difference between reading about survival and going through the actual experience is night and day.  There is a tremendous amount of satisfaction that emerges when we tap into our deepest potential as human beings.  It’s the feeling of building your own shelter from scratch and sleeping soundly throughout the night, being adaptable, making a fire with a bow-drill to keep yourself warm, or knowing that you are well prepared for any wilderness situation you might find yourself in.  The Essential Survival Skills Overnight is an action-packed course designed to teach participants how to thrive during a real survival situation.

During this 2-day course, campers will hike to a base camp where we will spend most of the first day practicing nature awareness skills, minimum impact camping techniques, learning survival priorities, building natural shelters, and starting environmentally responsible fires using both primitive and modern methods. We will then break into smaller groups and participate in a 24-hour survival scenario to put our skills to the test in a controlled environment. During our last day we will debrief our scenario, and talk about long-term survival considerations.

This camp is an excellent opportunity to expand individual skills and learn the principles of how to thrive in the wilderness.

Hosted by eNDVR Experiential Learning Space, proceeds from this camp help our senior Survive students attend their annual trip to Rabbitstick Primitive Skills Gathering.

Cost of the camp, $160.00. For more information, contact Clark Patton at 406-544-2486 or email stoneageawareness@gmail.com.

Camp will meet at 8am at eNDVR (1905 W. Sussex Ave). This is a drug and alcohol free event.
