This camp is for everyone from the novice game developer to the experts who want to get their games into the app stores. Students will learn to develop video games, create pixel art and animations, write game music and more. Beginners are able to use our library of premade images and animations to rapidly develop their first game. Students may learn how to use Gamesalad, Pixen, Physics Editor, GarageBand and more as they add layers of complexity to their product. They will learn about the psychology of games, best practices for game creation, and video game marketing as they prepare to upload their finished product to the GameSalad Arcade. Students will need a thumb drive in order to bring their finished work home. Students who do not complete their game during the camp session can always return during public makerspace hours to work on their game.

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit for this summer camp.
