We are excited to partner with the Watershed Education Network this Connect session to learn about our local environment. These classes will not run for the standard 8 week session, so please read dates below for more details. Each class presentation will be paired with a corresponding field trip that following Friday. Students must be able to attend both events in order to participate.

April 17 Class presentation one: healthy rivers and streams; pre-survey

April 21 (12-3pm) Field trip to Pattee Creek. Biology- macro-invertebrate identification; Chemistry- pH, dissolved oxygen, and temperature; Physical – velocity, site condition, and possibly measure cross section; Other- if water levels are high, we may exchange Physical measurements for riparian plants or birding activities

April 24 Class presentation two: Groundwater or Milltown Journeys overview

April 28 (12-3pm) Milltown Field Trip

When signing up for WEN classes, you only need to purchase 1 ticket. The price includes all of the class days and field trips. You do not need to purchase tickets for both the Monday and Friday events.
