The ASCD’s Whole Child initiative is a push for educators to re-evaluate the relationship between the learning environment and the children who work and play in it. Learning With Meaning provides lesson plans, classroom management techniques and advice with these ideas in mind – children are meaning makers and providing them with a safe, caring environment and daily activities that give them opportunities to better understand their world should be the top priority for 21st century educators.
